2012 is the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Old Gaytonians Association.

The Association’s Annual Dinner on Friday 30th March will celebrate one hundred years of the Association and the personalities who made the Association a success.

The Dinner will be a five course meal; Curried Parsnip Soup, Goujons of Plaice, Steak and Kidney Pie and Baked Banana with rum & cane sugar vanilla cream, followed by cheese and biscuits, coffee. Special and vegetarian alternatives are also available.

The Dinner will be held once again at the: Harrow District Masonic Centre, Northwick Circle, Kenton, Harrow, HA3 0EL

The evening will follow the traditional format – a formal event with a seating plan, toasts, speeches, invited guests from the School, including the Head Teacher and the pupil winners of the OGA Awards. The Dinner is open to all members of the Association, their partners and their guests.

The evening commences by the diners meeting in the bar for a pre-dinner drink and catch up with friends. Then, into dinner. During the meal, the OGA Chairman ‘takes wine’ with guests. Next comes the Loyal Toast and the Silent Toast, the latter remembering members who have died over the past year.

The formal part of the evening commences with a welcome from the Association Chairman. The OGA Awards for ‘Overall School Achievement’ are then presented to the winning pupils. The Association Chairman will propose the toast to Harrow County, Gayton High and Harrow High School's followed by a short reply from Head Teacher.

Then, the highlight of the evening, a prominent Old Gaytonian will propose the toast, “The Old Gaytonians Association and the personalities who made it a success”. Their will be a glass of port to toast the Associations success.

‘Roll Call’ follows – each year is called and members stand for the years they were at the School. The formal part of the evening concludes with singing the former School song, Virtus Non Stemma’ (‘Tis Worth, not Birth’). The diners then retire to the Bar, suitably refreshed to recall great tales of their school days.
