Project Cento

A world premiere to celebrate the school centenary in music

We will be performing a 50-minute piece specially written by Old Gaytonian, Bryan Kesselman. An experienced composer, opera singer and musical director, Bryan was at the school in the 1970s.

There will be two performances:

Date: Saturday 26 March 2011
Time: 6.00pm and 8.00pm
Venue: School Hall

This project is for past and present students and staff, as well as friends of the school.

Participants who are not currently at the school will be expected to attend rehearsals on Sundays February 20, 27, and March 13 (2pm-5pm). It is fine to attend all three, but we hope everyone will attend at least two, with March 13 being essential. There will be a full day rehearsal for everyone concerned on March 20 from 10.30am to 5pm.

Some work at home will be needed to become familiar with the music. An ability to read music, though useful, will not be necessary. There will be no auditions.

Register your interest as soon as possible by emailing Michael Woods (michaeldwoods@gmail.com) Please pass on this information to any of your contacts who have attended Harrow County School, Gayton High School or Harrow High School.
